Thanks for the extra images. I am passionate about them ;-)!

Julian and theFly, I have followed your advice and removed the yellow and white spots. You are right, they actually were a bit distracting. Nugar, thanks for your explanations for Otterbuff. BTW I took this picture in our local botanic garden.

Passion flower is where passion fruit (maracuyá) comes from. Although not this specific passion flower. I think this one is more on the decorative side. Here's a pic of the one I have at home: http://www.nugar.com/gallery/displayimage.php?album=9&pos=16  As you'll see, the one posted by Gerald is much more beautiful. The term Passion here actually refers to the Passion of Christ, mainly due to the purple color.

I have never seen that kind of flower before. It is like something you made up when given a box of crayons and told to draw a flower.

I have never seen anything like that before. Great picture. I also agree with Julian. theFly

Excellent shot Gerald, but personally I would clone out the yellow spot (top right) and the white spot (bottom right). They have no function in the photograph and attract attention. Just my 2 cts.

I *almost* posted a passion flower too. But this one is so much beautiful than the one I have. Mine is P. flavicarpa, which gives delicious fruit. (Or is supposed to. None of the flowers has developed into a fruit yet :\)
