I was so intent on getting a closeup of this hinge on a falling-down garage that I almost stepped on the fly-covered carcass of a cat, which was undoubtedly the source of the fly. Actually, I considered submitting a photo of the cat as something broken and abandoned, but when I enlarged the photo it was gross beyond words. This one, I thought, offered a more positive note despite the fly.
