Old Apple Orchard *

Massachusetts

The surburban area where I live was once home to farms and apple orchards. Here a few of the surviving bent old apple trees are weathering yet another late winter snowstorm.

Yes, for some reason I find this a very serene scene. It reminds me of the opening descriptions in the novel "Snow Falling on Cedars." Mary Anne

I like the way the trees bend and the snow is swirling. I wouldn't mind being in a place like this, so maybe it's not really abandoned. Shu
