My Country, again... *

Guatemala

This is the same picture that you saw on the "Celebrate 50" challenge. I thought this would be a good opportunity to post it again.
This is a beautiful view of Lake Amatitlán and Agua volcano that is just 25 minutes away from the city.

I love the beautiful soft colors in this shot, a very nice panorama.

Lovely bright colours make this a very appealing place to be.

I didn't know Guatemala was so beautiful! I'm helping to support your country's economy because I have a little business selling baby slings. They are woven and sewn for us there. :) ~ Lonnit

Wonderful picture. The colours, the format and the warm fresh feel it gives off - you could almost be there.

Thanks everybody. I'm happy you liked the picture.
It's not that I dislike the clouds in this picture, but I also would like to see it with a very bright blue sky that we usually get over here around November-December.
Again, thanks for your comments. You encouraged me to upload another picture in the last minute.
José Pablo.

Very beautiful, and your love for your country is obvious. I also think that the clouds add a great deal to the photograph.

Excelente foto, Jose Pablo. Reading your comments, I find that we share the same opportunities/problems when taking pictures of our respective countries. I live just down the road in Panama, the rainy season is coming soon here too and I also wish we had autumn colors! I also find that Panama is mostly green, as opposed to countries where you see lots of flowers.

This is a beautiful photo, but I wouldn't want a cloudless sky. I think the clouds soften the colors and add to the beauty of the scene. --flowersand

Jose, this is a spectacular and beautiful capture of your homeland. Thanks for sharing. Susan

Hi Ann,

Thanks for your comments. Although the "stitching" of this picture is far from perfect, I also like it a lot because of its colors. I would try to come back to this place and take another shot with the sky completely blue, without clouds (somehow difficult since the rainy season is approaching).
The green fields you mention are sugar cane fields.

Jose,
I can see why you love your country. This is a beautiful scene. I especially love the colors - the soft green of the fields and bright blue of the water and sky. It makes me want to come to visit. Ann C
