Thanks, Pops...I understand :-) I am not heavy into frames myself but at that time I was in a romantic and playful mood...Bee

Susan and flowersand, I am so pleased that you both like my efforts ... but no use of photo-editing effects here except, of course, the frame which I created myself in PS :-)
You must remember that this is really a Macro shot - the biggest blossom of this flower is only about 2 inches in diameter - the 3D feel was achieved by the wide open aperture I chose and that lovely boukeh of the Canon 180mm Macro lens which produced the smooth and out-of-focus background.
I only shoot in raw with this camera for the dynamic range and use C1 as the converter and then use my normal PS workflow (Levels and/or Curves and then some careful sharpening and if necessary some color correction for Web)...Bee

I like the flowers but the frame is just too busy for my tastes. I find it distracting.

Bee, this is delightful and charming. I love the various textures that appear to be a bit like film grain and/or gaussian blur in selected parts of the image, leading to the 3D effect. The delicate pink is very nice too. Susan

I love the colors and the three-dimensional effect around some of the leaves and petals. Did you apply any photo-editing effects--edges, for example? I'm just learning to use Photoshop Elements and haven't had enough time to try some of the effects. I'm learning a lot just from studying photos like this one. Good job. --flowersand
