Here is my mother having her very first manicure for her 85th birthday. I like the warm tones in this photo, as well as the contrast between her gnarled old hand and the smooth skin of the manicurist. My mother kept complaining about my spending "all that money" for the manicure, but I think she actually enjoyed it. By the way, she doesn't know that I've submitted this photo of her hand for public viewing...hope she'll forgive me.
