A face in the crowd

This is a favourite for many reasons. Firstly, it was one of my entries in the first CSLR challenge - self portraits, so it is landmark piece. Secondly, it's not shot in a studio which is different for me. It's hand held, set up on my kithen worktop. And although the planning of the shot and card cutouts had been made days beforehand, the shot was quite spontaneous after dinner one night.

Also, the fact that the composition is done without photoshop made me think a little different from that shot onwards. All the men and myself are produced on a laser printer and then stood up on some white card.

It's an odd image. I'm proud of it.

I remember this one. Moment I saw it, I said "wow!" Even though there is humor, there are many layers of emotion and meaning to this image.
