These tulips are part of a bouquet that has been on our dining room table for over a week. All the flowers are slowly growing old. The petals are becoming translucent and you can see the skeleton of them when the sunlight hits them from behind.
Lovely picture and nice composition.. I think everything has its place in this picture, there´s nothing in excess in this picture.

I like how the detail (sharp focus) increases towards the top of the frame where the light as also most beneficial. Delicate capture. Your flower shots are always stunners!
This is about when flowers look their best (I think so anyway, everyone esle thinks I'm mad) and you have proved they are far more photogenic than fresh ones.
Excellent close up detail and the shadows add to the allure of the image.

I love how you used old flowers instead of the usual fresh blooms most (all) ppl go for. Reminds me of the ad for florists we used to have "Say it with flowers" I always wondered if that included give dead ones hehe
Ann, what has gotten into you? What happened that you've suddenly ratcheted up a few notches? You must have had some sudden revelation - what's your secret? Or, were you just holding back on us before! LOL! Ok, you've always shown pleasant pictures - but suddenly you're posting some really lovely stuff. What gives? What's your secret and where do I get some? :) ~ Lonnit
