Pucker Up*

Part luck, part plan... this gentleman was selling ginger plants to passersby.
I had taken 11 shots of him, 4 featuring both him and the wall poster
behind him, when he turned to catch someone's attention.
This was the 12th and last shot.

He's about 12 feet away from the girl and six feet away from me.

other sizes: small medium original auto

My first thought when I saw this was "Picasso" This is very much in his style. WTG! And I'll second what Lonnit says.

Thanks for all your generous remarks... Lannit, too funny... hang in there... luck is sometimes on your side. Frankly, if the lips had been one-eighth inch high or lower, it would have been a discard, so sometimes things work out. Cheers, Don

I like this shot. Reminds me of one I just saw in the NY Times today or the day before of a poster of an Iraqi religious figure next to a veiled woman in the street. Yours is even better though with the east/west contrast you've got going. Could be in National Geographic.

Forget it Don, I give! I'll mail you all my equipment tomorrow. What's the use in my even trying. ~ Lonnit

My favorite in the first days of the challenge (I reserve the right to change my mind [G]). A great moment well-seen and captured. I do wish the old gentleman was in sharper focus/DOF, but this is street photography, not a formal portrait.

Gday Don
The elements have come together perfectly, congratulations. It often happens the last shot is the one.
