Thanks for the positive input. It was tricky and I agree the snow is blown out a bit. Probably should have did one exposure for the snow and one for the water etc. and then merged them. I'm not too proficient with PS but after seeing the comment on masks I've tried it on it and it did help a bit with the highlights....maybe i'll post the after....Thanks again for the comments. Fred
Beautiful picture. It fascinates me to see snow and running water...I would expect the water to be frozen. Nice angle you chose too.

Nice spot for a photo and wonderful colours. The moving water has a fine detailed structure. Tricky exposure that demands a large dynamic range which can be seen in the blown-out highlights in the snow. Possibly some detail could be recovered in post-processing, have you tried layer masking?
