Sponge (*)

I was originally going for something more abstract with this picture. The original idea was for a kitchen sponge, but although more colorful they did not have the interesting texture that this natural sponge did. PS6 used to clean up the background a bit and sharpen the image.

I like the fine structure and hint of grain you can spot in this image. It has a genuine "antique" feel to it. I'm not so fond of the shadow against the white background though. I think the composition is good with the sponge covering a bit more than half the frame.

I can't pinpoint what it is that I like... but I like. I agree, this sponge is a lot more interesting than your normal kitchen scrubbers. I like it.
