I've always liked the looks of my alien-lit 4 port usb hub, when the room is in the dark. I took a lot of shots, but chose this, because i liked it most.
It is handheld, because I couldn't manage to put the tripod in the position I wanted. I am aware of the blurring, but I think it adds more...feel to the picture (making a comparison between this hand held and other more still images, this one still looked better).
As for the cropping... i thought about it too, but looking and looking the picture i ame just convinced that the balance is quite what I want it to be: i also like the reflections of the ports on the wooden surface of the desk. That's why I left it as it is.

Looks like a hand held exposure as there is a little bluring around the ports. Pretty clear for a 2 second exposure. I would have cropped it a bit tighter and eliminated a lot of the black area.
