Gowan, thanks for posting that full size image. I was busy with finals all last week, so I just now got a chance to download it and to quickly post an image of my own.

Thanks for the comments. This shot came about when I was experimenting with my new lighting rig, a set of tungsten spots like iso thought.

Andreas: I was experimenting a little with B&W and this shot has actually been desaturated just a bit but I liked the effect of having a little colour instead of going for full B&W. I'm glad you appreciate it. I uploaded a 1600x1200px version here (I hope that's ok for your purpose): http://www.pbase.com/image/24044637/original

This is beautifully set up, lovely lighting and very well taken. But any symbolism or hidden meaning went WOOOOOSH.......straight over my head.

Too cool. As a student of engineering, I can appreciate the symbolism in this one. The composition is great, and I too like the color matched frame. I think the high contrast would make it look nice as a B&W image as well. You think I could get a bigger version of this to use as a desktop image???

This is one cool shot. Love the symbolism. Colour keyed frame is a nice touch. Lighting is very good indeed. Tungsten spotlight? DOF and shadows make it. Strong entries from you this time around. Good to see it.
