In a macro mood for a change. It was good to give my G3 a workout.

I'd have preferred ISO over any existing chip manufacturers. :-)

Would you have liked to have seen AMD perhaps? Or ISO even? :-)

Nice, I view this a colour abstract with clearly defined zones running parallel to each other. I would have liked to see something else than the word "Intel" at the lower left though. Detail is great.

I love the richness of this, with the gold pins against the red background. An interesting point of view of something I play with daily at work. I've often thought about trying a macro of a CPU however you did it better than I ever could :-)

That Pro comment was from me. I have to remember to sign my name or stop commenting when signed in under CTFChallenge.

I think the shallow DOF is especially interesting with this subject, which has a pattern repeated both horizontally and vertically. There is a row or two of pins in focus from left to right, but the focus falls off quickly forward and back. I agree, though, that this is largely a matter of personal taste.

Personally I love the DOF effects to be had with macros. But I have to admit that this image is one that would work with more DOF present. This at the full F8 of my G3 and is typical of the wafer thin DOF that you get with a reversed lens attached.

I tried to keep the plane of focus through the word intel to qualify the object as a processor, and I haven't done any macros for a while now so it was good fun.

Oh and look Pops! My infamous red background returns ;-)

I'd like to see more DOF in this image. Steve thinks it's great and I think it's a bit shallow. Which one of is right? But I guess that's why they make Fords and Chevys.

Pro? You're having a laugh. Anyway, who wrote that message?

I just love macros. Nice to see what a G3 in the hands of a pro can do. More inspiration (isopics) for the future.

Nice abstract composition. Great dof, colors, and composition.
