The Wind Farm (*)

Toora, Australia

These wind turbines are part of a very controversial wind farm located on the South Gippsland coast. In spite of the controversy, they are visually stunning.

This was the first time I had seen the wind farm, and you are right, Iso.....definitely a photographers lure! They are set on rolling green hills overlooking a beautiful coastline, and of course the weather played the game right by producing a bright blue sky. I kept scaring my husband by yelling out "STOP!!!" so I could take photos. I'll most certainly go back with the 300D.

Simple 3 colour palette makes a nice graphic image. Be sure to spend some time here when you get your 300D. I wish there was something like this close to me to shoot. Whenever I've seen them in pictures, they have a kind of *photographers lure*, and I'm not really the outdoor type.

Excellent picture...reminds me of the industrial robots from H.G. Wells book 'War of the Worlds'. We have a wind-farm about an hours drive away though it will be next summer before we have the sky to match it.

Gayle, I love the simplicity and symmetry of this shot. Very nice. The drop shadow works well too. I've just started playing with drop shadows and frames in PS...
