Thanks Lawry - yeah these things fly around everywhere. We have flocks of them screaming around the place.

Very unreal...but truly beautiful...nice job.

Still really like it. Those things just fly around at your work? If I look out of my office window right now, I can see David Blaine in a glass box - hopefully you've heard about his 44 days starvation trick ? :)

I was just stumped for an entry and didn't think that the bird on the left in it's original pic would count for much - it was taken at the flour mill I work at. Still I will put the pic in for lack of anything else and let u guys be the judge.

Jadzia. Wow - this is v. different. Hope you don't mind me saying but I find the purple splodges distracting. I think the 'composition' (pose?!!?!) of the bird on the left is incredibly 'powerful' (think thats the word i'm looking for)...and I'm impressed you captured it - do you have those birds in your garden?!?!. A suspicion of mine is that that image alone, (not faded), with the sky, and no purple splodges would be an absolute winner. Would be simpler, and look less PSd. Not to say I don't like this, just my humble opinion on a stunning picture based on the same elements. Mind you - now people have seen this they'll know how you did that I guess which seems to detract in these challenges. Dunno. Thoughts?

A beautiful piece, very dream-like and wonderful capture of the birds in flight.
