My Valentine

Since this challenge has lots of interesting stories (as well as great pictures) -- here we go --

I met this wonderful girl at the Goolwa Folk Festival some years ago. Only trouble is she lived in the Adelaide Hills, and I lived in Gippsland (1,000 km away). We kept in touch with lots of letters and phone calls - I even got a letter from Telsra (the phone company) to say my phone bill had increased enormously !! Come valentine's day she seemed very surprised that I hadn't received her card. A few days later I got a call from the local police station to say they had a card they thought might be mine. Apparently it must have fallen out of my letterbox (it is a very BIG card), lost its envelope, been driven over by lots of cars, picked up and dropped into the police station. It was a very good bit of detective work to find me, since it didn't have my name on it. Soon after this I moved a bit closer, and later marrried her.

That is a lovely story, It's so nice to see that it is the little things that are reminding us of love these days of commercialism.
I read somewhere that a photo shouldn't need an explanation, yet this challenge is showing that it is the story that makes the picture.
