This is an image of Caulastrea sp., or candy cane coral, from my reef aquarium. Corals are actually animals and not plants. At night, you can see the feeding tentacles from this coral extended while it tries to gather food particles from the water. The lighting was the actinic tank lighting. I have used levels in PS to make the image look as much as it does in reality.
