This turtle was huge, probably between 24" and 30" from nose to tail. I didn't even know turtles of this size lived in this area. When I first saw it, I thought it was some type of animal playing with a log in a pond. It turned out to be two turtles either mating or fighting, and rolling on the surface of the water. Photo was taken as turtle swam towards the shore.
