These hoods (I'm not even sure that's what they're called.) seem to be pretty standard. Colors seem to be the owners' choice. Most of the horses in this area were owned by individuals rather than ranchers or breeders. And those girls were all eager to show off their horses and tell us all about them.

So does each trainer get a different color - (I would want purple of course as it looks so regal). I had a friend when we were teenagers who rode - and we got group rides, etc. with her... until she got thrown and then nobody was allowed back. It was fun though, while it lasted. Penny Street
Penny, this horse had been prepared for competition the next morning--braided mane, etc.--and I understand that the hood is to keep everything looking neat. Now the horse can't rub against something and undo all the work. It was really interesting to see all the GIRLS--no boys--with their horses here. There seems to be some kind of special bond between teenage girls and their horses...don't think I want to go any farther with that, as I had a thing for horses as a youngster, even though I was from a working-class family in a milltown and never even had the opportunity to ride a horse. BTW thanks for adding my name.

Just ignore that message & scroll down to see where you edit. If the page just hangs there at times in Peebase editing, uploading picys or adding comments then just hit Ctrl & F5 on your keyboard & your task will be done. Just wait about 5-10 secs to give time for the upload.
This has worked well for the past little while but I'm having problems with it now.
I've tried about 10 different times to edit this pic, but pbase just keeps giving me a message that it's in "read only" mode. Once in awhile I can add comments, but usually not. Very frustrating.
