This Morning in my Garden 2

Photographer's delight - gardeners pain.
These little caterpillars may look cute
but they would eat all of the rose buds
if they are not removed.

How interesting. The caterpillar's camouflage was so good that I thought I was seeing a complete bud with some opening and something dark in the center. It was only when I read the comments that I see this for what it really is. A closer tighter crop might reveal this delight too early ... but then I'm definitely not a garden person so I don't know what I am looking at half the time.

Wonderful clarity and focus. I was going to say this needs a crop, but i'll have to think about it. jano

Yes, the colors and clarity are very good. I also think that the vertical crop may be better.

The colors and clarity of the caterpillar are very good. However, I think the image might look better with a vertical crop.

Nice find Gerald. I almost didn't see him in the photograph and you found him in nature. -Doug

Tom, fortunately, they do not appear in crowds here so it is sufficient to take them off by hand without having to use any pesticides. -Gerald

Do you have to pick them off by hand Gerald? Some more great morning light here and details make the caterpiller look very hungry for a big breakfast. -tv
