My favorite of the three. It has a timeless sort of feel to it. The other two seem better fit for the challenge but this shot is something special.

I actually boosted the colors a bit. Yes, a bit melancholy - these beach silhouettes of the kids all seem to be quite moody. I like that they evoke emotion. Kind of the point of photos - what we're all trying to do, right? :) LOL! ~ Lonnit

Beautiful but melancholy shot, Lonnit. Did you desat the colors, by any chance?

This was not shot at quite the same angle as the other, so it does not have the same sparkling in the water. What it does have, which I loved about it, is that beautiful sparkling lit edge on the water as it hits the shore. I loved the duotone effect of blue and selenium also. I think a ton of sparkle in the water would have detracted from the color, the brightly lit edge of the water, and the silhouette. Perhaps if you hadn't seen the other two first you might not have thought that. Maybe by the time you got to this one, your mind had been pre-programmed. Perhaps I should change the order of the images to put this one first. Thanks for commenting! ~ Lonnit

Good silhouette but this does not have quite the same play of light in the other two. Maybe this one could be brighter to bring it out. -tv
