Stanley Park

Vancouver, BC, Canada

Not my real home, but I'm staying in Vancouver for half a year. I didn't take this picture with the challenge in mind--there are some more recognizable scenic shots to be taken in beautiful Stanley Park. I hope I find time to go back and take them. :-)

In fact this spot is right along the most trodden path of the park, which gets several millions of visitors each year. But there still are plenty of places where it effectively is nice and quiet. -Maarten.

Very nice shot, Maarten. There's a Stanley Park in the next town over from us, where I have photographed a number of times, and when I saw the thumbnail I wondered where someone had found this beautiful spot. Alas, Vancouver is several thousand miles from here.

The slow shutter speed really adds a calming effect to the image. I have to admit that I want to throw a line in to see if there are any fish in there .... Beautiful reflections on the water. jano

Very nice and though I haven't been to Stanley Park, it looks like a beautiful quiet spot.
