Brent,
nice effect on water, I wanted to see more such effect in this challenge. I'm not sure I like the two figures here. It does not look for me as a creative shot but more as the "beginner" one.

Thanks Penny and Tom :-) And thanks for bringing light to my f-stop error Tommy. I used a B+W .9 ND Filter for this which says 8X on it, but investigation told me a .9 filter is just a 3 stop reduction. So the ND filter and a 1-stop Polarizing filter gave me 4 total stops of reduction. Seems a whole lot more reasonable :-)
Iso 50 on a 5D2 is pretty easy Penny. Keep in mind it has no advantage (and some disadvantages) over Iso 100 except to slow down your shutter speed. Hit menu>second icon from right>C, Fn I:Exposure>ISO Expansion = On.

It's only six f-stops from 1/50 to 1 sec, which seems more reasonable than 9 when you think of it. Are all the puddles from the water wall or was it raining earlier? Good effect and perspective. -tv

now I have to figure out how to get ISO50 on my camera (I love to learn new things). Great picy, Brent. Penny Street

Yes the sunny 16 rule got washed away here Dog... I mean Doug ;-)

Made me laugh Brent. It drew plenty of good commentary too so it must be the keeper. Shooting f16 for over a second at noon? So much for that sunny 16 rule. -Doug

Thanks Debi and Carole :-) Yes I guess you could call that water wall public art. You can indeed walk through it with water streaming on both sides of you. Pass through once and you get slightly wet. Go through it five times like I did and you are pretty darn wet- glad it was summer ;-)

What an interesting wall of water! Is this a piece of public "art" and can you walk through it? I really like that Seattle has so much wonderful sculpture - I really need to spend some time there too. The Minneapolis Institute of Art has a sculpture garden but I like seeing art all over the city and not just concentrated in one area. CJ

Jolly good idea - Debi

Well get over here to Seattle then Techo! I know all the places to get really fresh beer ;-)

It's really cool seeing the city of Seattle through your eyes. Really makes me want to visit.

Thanks Sue Anne and Rod, I wouldn't have showered this morning had I known I would be taking another one on my lunch break :-) Yes it does look like the myself of me, myself, and I lost its head Suey ;-) I tell you that little RC-1 remote is the best cheap accessory you can get Rod. I'm amazed even on a gray day it took 9 stops worth of filters and ISO 50 to slow things to 1 second and I even had to stop it down a bit. I'm pleased it turned out this sharp, my lens was covered with spray.
No we see plenty of Aussie's in this part of town Rod. As soon as they clear them out more scurry in- just like rats ;-)

Rod
I was wondering how you made it inside the wall of water in 10sec using the self timer but then I remembered all you rich Americans have remote controls:-) You would have got really wet if a robber/foreigner picked up yer camera & did a runner a, maybe Aussies don't visit this part of Seattle:-) Nicely done mate.

That's a neat water wall but whats neater is the three figures and one doesn't have a head.
