You knew what the master wanted and you delivered. I like the wide angle.

This works best because the visual ambience of the pergola dominates and has much more impact. Spooky - like maybe a Jack the Ripper setting. -tv

Nice exposure! Like Techo I prefer this viewpoint also; makes you more part of the scene. In the other one I feel a lonely stranger at night; here I feel like an evening stroller enjoying the scenery.

This one is more technically sound but doesn't give me the warm fuzzy feeling that the other one did. Must be the bloke. -Doug

Thanks Carole :-) A runner you say? He he, I think the only running that guy on the bench does these days is to the liquor store or an alley to get his next fix. He was passed out. Just a slice of life you expect in a big city.

This shot of the pergola shows the details of the architecture a bit better and I do like the figure on the bench. Was that a runner tying his shoe - at least I hope it is! :-) CJ

Thanks guys :-) I was just glad to make it out of there with all my gear, that neighborhood is pretty sketchy late at night. I guess I'm a thrill seeker ;-)

Of the two pics, I prefer the viewpoint of this shot. It's unique and interesting. Feels like I'm standing right there.

The pergola itself looks really nice under this lighting & the lone figure is a good touch. I would have trouble separating the picys into which one I like best. I feel a bit inspired now to at least take me tripod to Capalaba & see wot I can come up with, as a trip to the city on a chilly night isn't too high on me to do list:-)
