Splendid.
Thanks for the exif suggestion. I'll test your settings on Canada day! :-) -Maarten.

Thanks Debi, Bruce, Rod, Tv, CJ and Brent.
CJ, next time you shoot fireworks try the Exif settings, set the camera on tripod... point the camera in the general direction of the sky and shoot away anticipating the burst. Prior to shooting this, took a look at pbase fireworks shots and noted down the exif. You might want to try variations on the Exif.

Nice sharp capture RK. Yes the 4th and fireworks are coming up and I'm aware of a vantage point where I could capture aerial displays going off simultaneously in three locations. I just don't know if I can handle the traffic that I would get into returning home afterward. If I settle for one display (with a few power lines making clutter) I can just step out on my porch :-)

I tried this without much success because I forgot to turn off the IS on my lens. It would have been nice if you could have included some buildings, trees, or something for scale and background interest but the colors are nice and it's sharp. July 4th is coming up so I think I'll find an interesting spot and try again. CJ

Technically quite well executed. I hate shooting fireworks because it's impossible to predict effective framing. A few thousand more tries and maybe one might really work. Still good but.. -tv

I suppose it's nice a but really it's just a firework. The exposure is spot on, well done.

Crisp and clean for such a long exposure.
