With a couple of gangs active in this area, these are probably gang "tags." I did a bit of research and found that the "K" may mean "kill." Not a pleasant thought. --Mary Anne

I looked at this an instantly thought the arrow was pointing to the abstract drawing of a bird with something in its beak! I suppose it might have some other meaning but now I can't think of anything else. :-D CJ

Funny, I don't see sinister at all - in fact, I almost smiled to see the arrow pointing to that spot. It's fun to imagine what someone must have been thinking when they did this. Penny Street

No meaning except graffiti tags but the alley looks darkish and the red arrow looks like a ploy to draw in unsuspecting victims.. -tv

You're waxing quite philosophical, Tommy. This is actually the side wall of the old Polish bakery where my husband goes for his Sunday morning "fix" of pastries, and I've been down this alley many times. Or maybe you're warning me away because you know what these painted tags mean? --Mary Anne

Wonderful surprise from you Mary Anne. I think you have the photographers prowling eye that pulls you into alleyways and other places where we shouldn't go without a side arm. But we do because as seekers of the truth in life, we believe that those who would do us harm will exempt us. Oops. Silly me. Do NOT go down that alley. -tv
