Another beautiful scene, Doug. The light and clouds are especially nice, and I really like the interplay of light and dark areas.

I really like this landscape Doug. Very nice layering of brush, road, trees, meadow, mountains and clouds. I like the subtle colors too - this almost looks like a painting. Nice leading line with the road taking us into the picture. Well done! CJ

Thanks RK. Those hills are 100% sand and grow 1 inch taller every year. You can't tell from this angle but their 1,000 feet tall. Take a look in the discussion thread for a closer view. -Doug

Another good one Doug... really like the subtle light/shadow play on the distant hill. RK

Thanks to the three of you. I actually had 4 clicks in a row that I wanted to post with this one and the 1st one my favorites. The first one had to be bumped so that I could play by my own rules. -Doug

Well Doug, it looks like the entire community took the weekend off so there's no real time lost. I like this one very much - like many of the great photographic and painted landscapes showing the grandeur of the western mountains. This one manages to do it again without clichee. It's a really well captured view with both foreground and background competing for the eye's attention. Great light makes it happen. -tv
