Commemorative Air Force, Arizona Wing
Each October, Sentimental Journey, one of the few WWII B-17s still flying, returns home to the Arizona Wing of the Commemorative Air Force in Mesa, AZ. Once home from her summer tour throughout the states, SJ immediately undergoes her required 2-month annual maintenance.
I took this photo of the beautiful Warbird as she was parked on the CAF’s ramp, about to be fired up for her after-maintenance check ride.
Sentimental Journey flew four times this day, with three of the flights filled with paying aficionados taking the Warbird ride of their life.
