Thanks Penny & Tommy:-) No Tommy the norm here in Brissie all year round is blue skies, I would guess 80% plus most of the time. When we took off for our drive out it was nice & sunny with just the odd cloud. When I was getting this picy there was this big cloud that actually rained on me very lightly & got rain spots on the camera but none on the lens glass. Driving home from here it was blue skies & sunshine again. Like you said Tommy this cloud really worked for me with this picy.

And I thought you were in the outback eating bloomin' onions. So Brisbane has real buildings - and so photogenic! A rare day with good gray clouds providing an ideal bg to make it work.. or is it always like this in autumn? Anyway, this goes on my wall as a keeper for any number of reasons. -tv

Thanks Suey, Mary Anne, Debi, Brent & Doug:-) It's funny as the last time I went into the city for picys was with my G2, I took some night shots from across the river with the 350D where it's easy to park. We only live about 12 miles from the city but getting off me bum to make the effort is the hard part. Me & the missus went for a drive yesterday intending to get some "many" people shots in the Valley (the entertainment district) just next to the city where it's easier to park but there wasn't many people around so we were just driving through the city on our way home.
I saw these buildings ahead but there's no parking here so I just pulled over into a loading zone & took these standing next to me car. I'm determined to actually get into the city more often as there's plenty of photo opps there. Mind you I said this last winter that when the weather warms up I will get some city shots , we're now going into winter:-)

I love the great DOF here, Rod. I also didn't expect this one to be yours. Let's see more urban shots like this.

Did not think this was one of yours. Good to see you shooting different things :) - Debi

Very dramatic. The reflections are special. Especially in the golden building. -Doug

Nice work mate- worth getting flat on your back for. Lots of windows and the reflection of the clouds in that gold building looks great.
I can't recall you ever doing a "big city" shot of Brissie before. I guess a couple but not with a sense of several being together. Does it take you long to get to the center of all this from home? Those are great looking buildings.
