Thanks all. Mary Anne said it: this was a drab day which made the colors pop out so and even look natural as a photographic reproduction.. well almost. -tv

I also enjoy these little glimpses into NY life. We had a 100 year old paper close it's doors a couple months ago and people were stealing these boxes in hopes that someday they might be worth something. -Doug
Good one, Tommy. The colors of the containers are nicely saturated on what looks like an overcast day, providing a nice contrast to the grays around them.

nice framing. The sky tops over the tree reflections are a nice touch.
And I like what you did with these - since I hardly ever see them with anything inside, it's good that someone is making good use of them! Penny Street
Yes, many free choices here. I wonder if the gap in the middle is from one paper that went out of business? Just a few weeks ago we lost one of our two daily papers we have had in Seattle for over a hundred years. Quite sad really and I guess the NY Times struggles a bit now too. Anyway...nicely done Tommy :-)

Like the "everyday"/casual look to the photo. Simple and effective.

I luv these little NY gems that either you or Penny put here from time to time. I don't know how many manys are many but I really like this. The composition works a treat, well done Tommy.
