Really nice shot of the gulls Rod and with a difficult lighting situation too which you handled very well. I like seeing the birds in all the different postures from walking on the ground to being in full flight. Good one! :-) CJ

I see the light like this and I turn my back the other way.You, on the other hand..... well..... make a masterpiece out of it (as much as could be made anyhow). The birds, with all the different wing spans, look terrific against the shimmery light and I can even see some shadowy bits and pieces. Great job. Penny Street

I think shooting into the light worked very well here. The positioning of the birds looks great in the composition. Well done mate :-) ~Brent

Rod Thanks Debi & Tommy:-) Gawd if I ever got a perfect picy it would be a lucky shot a. This was lucky in a way, I was shooting these gulls amongst the white lines in the carpark to my right when a family sat down at a picnic table to my left to have something to eat. On cue the gulls stopped posing for me & went close to the picnic table where a kid would throw them titbits to eat, so I had to shoot into the light. I quite like the composition of the gulls as they start off ready for flight in the bottom right & gradually gain in hight diagonally across the picy on up to the top bird.

Great light and handling of it. I'm not going to say it's perfect but near. Even the sailboat on the horizon works its magic. -tv
