the color looks much closer to natural - nice job! Penny Street

Striking color contrasts with that G3 Steve! Nice repetition of the curve of the orange in the blue bowl. CJ

Thanks all for the creative criticism - I decided to go ahead and reshoot the shot in natural daylight. I just received my used G3 in the mail on Saturday and figured I'd shoot stuff around the house to at least enter in eligible. FYI, this shot is slightly sharpened in Picasa, everthing else is straight from the camera. The extreme contrast between the cobalt blue and orange is natural. Steve.

The flash burned the texture of the orange but the whanged colors are effective. -Doug

Steve, Penny and Rod's eyes are sensitive to strong colors. But I get your point I think and while this will not be very popular among the voting masses, I find it is effective for your purpose.. oh well maybe a bit oversaturated but the blue vs orange works well. I do agree that is best to avoid flash glare a particular problem with on camera flash; so I never use one myself since I'm too lazy to haul aroung lighting equipment. Solidly on topic all in all. -tv

Yes the colours do look overcooked but the idea is very good Steve. Maybe a shot in more natural light would be better than the flash look but. Well done anyhow mate.

Yes, it's colorful. I'm wondering what it would look like with just slightly less contrast. Good idea - I like the shapes! Penny Street
