Great shot Penny. I like the light and sign directly above the subject's head, add's a playfulness to the image.

Thanks Doug and Techo and you have given me more to think about - I will play with the darkening tool but it won't happen before voting as I'm stuck in my office without my toys. Penny Street

I'll take it ;) If any cropping is to be done, it won't look right to crop off a piece of the light, so it either stays in full or goes out. I do like it more with. I'd only suggest as Doug implied. Is to create a slight vignette near the left side of the shot.

I like it this way without cropping. Having the entire light source in view is necessary since it ties in with the reader who is utilizing the light. In fact, there is some potential with creative burning in the negative space to enhance it even more. -Doug

Thanks for the comments and controversy but I'm Not cropping.
Take it or leave it. Penny Street

I think a crop closer to the bloke would work very well as the light being lit is competing with the bloke for me eye. So cropping part of the light away would balance the picy more especially for this topic.............................IMHO of course:-) Well seen & shot megirl.

Good composition and I can see why you want to keep the whole light fixture in the frame. I wish I could see a little more detail in his face but this is still good as ia. CJ

Thanks for the comments. I tried cropping this but it loses something. So, since I'm proud of the fact that it's exactly as I had it framed in the camera and I like it the way it is, I'm not moving it. The light IS in the corner after all ... Penny Street

Cool image Penny. You have it nicely framed in the corner, but I would be tempted to crop a little closer to our reader.

I would like to see his knee pressing up against the right edge but that would cut off the lamp above which serves well as a secondary "subject". Well thought out and good bw. 10 points since you are a girl. -tv

I started getting jealous of that 5D mkII. Great picture Penny, BW is a nice touch. ~Christakis
