Thanks folks. I will dig up the original and see what the processing was. If I remember correctly it was mostly contrast and shadows/highlights adjustments. I apply contrast adjustments on a copy of the original layer, then erase(with eraser tool to varying opacity settings) away any blown out highlights or shadows that get too dark. Sometimes I may tweak the colors seperatly via the Selective Color dialog, like darken or brighten the yellows or greens. Works great if you need to tweak a white or black background without tweaking the contrast for the rest of the shot.

This is a case study in macro photography. Outstanding use of two corners and three edges = 5 points. The bleached bg is well proportioned and balanced against the flower and calculated to show off the pedal points. bonus 50. Detail always attracts and you always do that well. Somehow this shows up on my monitor among the best of all postings on this site including my own. It would be quite informtive to know your processing. -tv

Beautiful shot, Techo. You've given it a nice painterly feel.

Hi Aam,
Thanks, this is indeed a sunflower. There are different varieties. I do like the ones with the black centers most.

Beautiful. What's the name of this flower (sun flower?). I'm asking because I've always wanted to take such a photo. Excellent work as always, Techo.
