Great detail and color again - (looking at the pictures backwards) - only the perspective and dof make this look really interesting. - and to me, it's enough corners and edges to qualify (or maybe I just like it too much) - Penny Street

Tom, thank you for the kind sincere comment. One of my goals is to always print out more photos, this one will make the list. Where I said "isn't as close to the center" I meant as, not close enough to the corner, doh. My fingers tend to type faster than I think at times ;) ... I'll keep this shot in exhibition.

I keep coming back because this is wall-worthy (memorable and my ultimate rating). The eyes stand out even as near bokeh. -tv

No need to move. There is an effectively off-center feel and many lines from off-center into the edges and corners. The major whiskers are cornering the corner so to speak. Too good bw&pink to lose. -tv

Thanks for the great comments, Mary Anne and Tom. I'm glad the shot appeals to you folks.

Yes those eyes do look a bit googly, that's a fun way to put it :)
Not done on purpose but I think it made the cat look cuter. How cute he was, being a kitten (3months old I think).

Tom, I had double thoughts on posting this because the focal point isn't as close to the center, I agree. Really appreciate the detailed input and you sharing your reaction upon viewing this photo. If the composition doesn't fit the ideals of the challenge I have no problem what so ever to move this to Pending.
Pending doesn't have the stigma feel for me hehe. So no worries there.

A lesson in how to dodge (avoid) the center. It's quite a strikingly executed capture especially the angle and detail. For this challenge it seems to circumvent the corner concentration called for by your humble host. I almost jumped when this poped up on my screen and remains very captivating. Among cat picys this is memorable quite well above the other 99.9999% - 99.9999 points. -tv

The closeup of the nose, mouth, and esp. the whiskers is fantastic, but those OOF eyes catch the light in a way that makes them look kind of "googly" and unreal. But maybe that's what you wanted??
