Thanks Tv. Where do you buy your used equipment. I generally shy away from online (ebay/amazon) sites, make most of my purchases from my local camera shop. -RK

Yup. Bought a used one recently when I got the D700. Good lens and can be found cheap. So many old lenses are useful especially when AF is not required and in fact is better without because it leads to laziness - the false assumption that the camera will know what to focus on. -tv

Wouldn't mind trying that lens some day but now stuck with my old 80-200 f/4 AI. The backlighting is perfect here. Comp is on topic. 8 points for all corners and edges. -tv
