Thank you Donald! I looked it up and learned a little about the Colt factory, Samuel and Elizabeth Colt, Coltsville, and Hartford - a very interesting bit of American history. CJ

It is the onion dome of the old (rebuilt) Colt Firearms building. The factory was rebuilt after the fire of 1864. The factory has been converted into apartments.

CJ, I think it's some kind of a church. I've never been closer than the interstate highway at 65+ mph.

Beautiful dome Mary Anne, although it still seems to be listing to the right a bit to me, or maybe I'm listing! :-D What was this building? I love those stars! CJ

Good catch Mary Anne. An ideal score of 5.5 again. Maybe I'll explain later why it's ideal when I figure it out. -tv

Thanks, Shu. I didn't know you were so close to where I live--West Springfield, Mass. Sharon and I get together occasionally for picture-taking, and we'd love to have you join us. And yes, this was shot on the move...from the window of a bus speeding down I-91. I was surprised it turned out as well as it did, altho it needed straightening.

WOW, Mary Anne!! I trust you captured this on the fly and the clarity certainly is amazing if you did. BTW, I live a few shot miles from this Hartford landmark.shu
