Thanks Jano & Carole:-) Yes I shot this for me topic of water so making the lily more prominent would have got me into trouble a.The 8x10 is a possibility for a more normal picy but for the water topic I need the water ripples at the bottom..................I think:-)

I like this one a lot Rod, maybe my favorite one of your water picys but the crop seems a bit off for me. Maybe you wanted to show more water for your topic but if I were printing this image, I'd have the aspect ratio set to a common US size of 8x10 inches (4x5 ratio) which would crop a bit off the bottom rather than the 4x6 inch size (2x3 ratio) shown here. What do you think? CJ

Rod - I think putting the lillies and flower closer the viewer's eye (towards the front more) would make this image more striking and attract focus more. Of course, I'm sure this may have been your only perspective since this little flower is hanging in the water. Overall I think you got the exposure down nicely and I like the reflections. I think I could shoot lillies a lot, if we had lilly pads here and it wasn't snowing and raining constantly. :) jano

I like the portrait view of the lillies and the dark blue water reflections.

Thanks Penny, Debi Webi, Tommy, Aamm & YB:-) I'm with Penny & YB on this one, the ripples & lead in between the ripples to the flower makes it a very masculine girly picy I think a
.Anyhow I'm all out of testosterone so expect some close ups of lily's next:-)

I'm very worried - I really like this photograph - does that mean I'm a girlie?

Pretty but not manly like the earlier ones - Debi

Agree with Tom. The earlier ones were better, imo of course.

I'm pleased to see you are honing your "water" skills. I enjoyed 7, 8, 4, 11, 2, & 9 and compared to those, this is straining toward a girly flower picy (Penny was duely impressed a). OK this has good points but the earlier gems outshine it imho but they didn't have the girly factor so go for it. -tv

Oh my gosh - it's 3D!!! I LOVE the lily pads and the one lone flower and the reflections in the pond!!! I guess you could call it painting on water.
