CJ, thanks for the tip. I did try that but the WB went all funny. Ill look into it again at some point.

One way to eliminate the shadow is to have the product a bit further away from the background and shine another light on the background to wipe out the shadow you do get. I'd really like a wide angle lens - think I'll look into this one! CJ

These lenses are incredible for the price. I have an older Sigma 12-24 full frame bought used and it works beautifully - low distortion and reasonable contrast. Looking forward to seeing the results. -tv

Thank you all for your comments. I think cloning out the specs would be a real hard task especially for me who doesn't know PS all that well. I think a median filter might do the job but have no idea where it is in PS. I will probably do it the engineering way in MATLAB ;).

Rod, I love this lens already. You can fit the world in! There is some barrel distortion at the wide end (as if 20mm is not wide enough) but I think this is more obvious because I only tested it indoors in a very very tight space. I didn't have any time to go outdoors but I'm looking forward to it. I can post some pics in the forum if you like.

Can you let me know how the 10-20 Sigma turns out for taking picys Christakis, I'm planing on getting the Canon 10-20 but being an ole pensioner soon maybe i can save a few pennies by getting the Sigma. ................The manly version of course:-)

I think, since it comes that way, that you don't need to worry about the fairy sprinkles. However, if you wanted to get rid of them (do you have photoshop?) you could with the clone tool. Penny Street

You must have got the girls version with that glittery lens hood a:-)

Thanx, I got it a few days ago for my bday :) The "dust" surprised me too. Its not dust :/ The lens has shiny glittering plastics. Have no idea how to make it not appear as dust.

Nice lens and nice shot, Christakis. I used to have one. If it were me tho, I'd clone out the dust. For a "Product Shot", you don't want to have dust showing, seems to me. Cheers, -mikey
