I like the perspective in this Doug, and the textures, colors, and different shapes look good too. CJ

Penny, I drove 5 miles to get my picys AND I had to go through two roundabouts.

Thanks for the tips Rod. I did shoot with multiple exposures but the strong sun in the background was very overwhelming. Thanks for the extra credit Penny. I drove about an hour and 15 minutes to Idaho Springs then about 5-10 miles of slow going rough terrain that took another 30 minutes or so. All in fun. -Doug

So how far did you have to go to get these? I think there should be credit for that and the fact that this is a really nicely seen shot - great dof and I really like the composition. Penny Street

Yes this does look very good Doug even the weeds add to the abandoned feel. It might pay when you shoot with sunlit & shade to vary your exposures to avoid the overly bright bits in the top left corner. If I was in AV mode for this picy I would have framed this so it was half sunlit & half shade then lock the exposure, re compose & shoot. I use evaluative metering, if you don't like the exposure by locking on half & half then note what the shutter & F stop was & use manual mode so you can adjust over or under until it looks OK on the LCD & shoot away.
