The Blind Shot #3

Vancouver, BC

These shots were taken "blindly,"
meaning without looking at the viewfinder,
holding the camera at chest level or lower,
and just hoping the camera was pointed well.
I wanted as candid a shot as possible.

Canon EOS 20D ,Canon EF 17-40mm f/4L USM
1/125s f/6.3 at 40.0mm iso200 full exif

other sizes: small medium large original auto

This is always a great way to try and capture some great images. You did well indeed! jano

Thanks to all for the comments. She was on a cell phone, and at the moment is waiting at an intersection for the light to change. That may explain her less than enthusiastic expression. ;-)

Nice candid portrait Looks like she might be talking on a cell phone and she doesn't look thrilled with the conversation she's having! CJ

nice spontaneity here that probably wouldn't be captured otherwise. Good one.

This captures a kind of story in the details of the material, wrinkles, and design of the jacket as opposed to the normal attention to the face of this randomly captured passerby. You're on to something here that is unplanned and spontaneous, which is inconsistent with cropping. I would like to see the uncropped version instead to retain the original unmanipulated quality and context. -tv

The first one is my fave of your three... but this one is 'in the moment' good too, Charlie! ~Lydia
