The amount of vibrance and color gives me more to look at then need be. -Doug

Don't they know they can read at home? Why are they wasting that beautiful beach? Nicely seen and shot. ~dtallakson

Nice candid shot. However it seems a little fake to me a bit too cartoony. HDR effect?

Thanks, k2. It was somewhat hazy, more like partial high clouds, the day I shot this - that's actually why my last attempt at pulling the clouds out was a tad over processed.

Nice picture. I wonder if I liked the heavier PP better, this got a little hazy? Qualifies as a candid, anyway, but easily fit more genres as well. An almost surreal feel to it.. or perhaps that is because it's midwinter where I am lol

This looks very inviting - I want to go there right now! :-) Nice shot Jim. CJ

Thanks to all for the comments.
Now that I am home, I looked at the photo (esp the small one posted here) on my large monitor and saw the "noise". I over processed the sky to bring out the clouds, and couldn't see the artifacts which were then enhanced by reducing the final image in size and to a jpeg. The problems I have with a small monitor on my portable pc!! Anyway, I corrected it with a little less processing and an application of Noise Ninja to the final jpeg. This is the result.

Well the mother seems to have passed on more than her book reading habits - Nice colours but even I see the noise in the sky - Debi

That doesn't even look comfortable to me, very interesting shot Jim. Must be miserable down there in Aruba ;-)

Nice row of readers. And I like the umbrellas too.

I tried it in B&W, I think this colour one works best.

Very well spotted Jim as they are doing the same thing it makes this picy quite unique. Well done mate. I don't know if it will work as the beach colours go so well with the picy but I wonder how this would look in B&W to focus us more on the readers.

Nice shot! It's so cold here that I didn't even venture outside today so I'm feeling rather jealous. I guess this must be a family because they all look alike (lucky mom)

I don't think photos such as this should be allowed - especially as I'm freezing my ***** off in London, :(
Great capture - I hope they get sun burn :)

A good one Jim. You have a good weather in January in Aruba !
May be it is my monitor but I think the picture is a bit noisy - specially in the sky. Strange to see it by ISO100. May be it is really my monitor ?
