Oops ... I forgot to put my name. Sorry. Updated. When I was a bit younger, I spent most of my holidays doing canoe-tours. That time - I suppose that was 1987- I rafted with my friend on Onega river in North Russia. We did about 300km in 4 weeks. The area is a pure wilderness - you see other people at the very begin and at the and of the travel only. The most necessary stuff like matches, sugar, salt, vodka :-) and some tinned goods you take with. But while you must carry on everything by yourselves - you can not take enough for the whole trip - you have to rely on what you find on the way - fish, mushrooms, berries. That day I caught a pike (on picture) - and a fresh-smoked pike is one of the most tasty things I have ever eaten! Konstantin
