I like the hand in the image. Almost saying... YEAH! MANLY!

Obviously the ladies don't appreciate ale as much as the blokes. This certainly isn't a setup shot but a travel photo I fired off after happily gulping 2/3 of a pint of amber heaven. Cropping would lose some of that lacey foam around the glass that is so dear to a beer lover :-)
Same as England I think Scotland has made great strides in becoming a place one can find a decent meal (not necessarily local cuisine) . This was just a simple lunch out on a patio, but we had some wonderful meals our couple of days spent in Edinburgh. It's a great place to visit.

Have to disagree with you, ma lady, CJ. For me, everything other than the food is the real subject here. Food in this case is a support to the other elements of the photo.

Do I sound like Tom yet :)

Looks delicious and it that a meat pie - looks yummy and thirsty drinking too already. (Is there gravy?)

I don't think the Scots are know for their cuisine! :-) This is a little busy but with a bit of cropping on the top and left side, would eliminate some things that draw the eye away from the food. CJ

It looks like they killed the broccoli when the cooked it a, but the pie does look great.

I actually LOL'd at dt's comment.

The image is a bit busy for my taste, Brent. ~Lydia

"I ate haggis during my visit there too!" I think "haggis" is the sound you make when your realize what you've actually eaten. ;^) ~dtallakson

Hey, it was Scotland and of course there was meat in that pie :-) I don't eat much meat at home, but like to immerse myself in the local cuisine as much as possible when I travel places. I ate haggis during my visit there too!

I'm wondering if that's some kind of meat pie. I'm getting hungrier with every photo. Nice manly shot ~dtallakson

Manly w/o red meat? Good exposure and color.
