Your description is backed up by the window reflection in her eye. Great looking doggie portrait Brent. -Doug

Poor Winnie - this is excellent for personality. Penny Street

Thanks Carole and Troy :-) Yeah I thought the nose was a little more OOF than ideal too Carole. Still adjusting to the DOF of the new camera, but I've got something in eligible for now anyway. Both dogs love the snow and have a great time playing in it. After a while they get clumps of ice on their legs though- but they are pretty tough. The snow is gone for now and they got to play in the wet dirt and wood chips at the dog park yesterday- what a mess!

Great Picture Brent. Must have been fun taking the picture.

Poor Winnie - but i'm not sure she'd want to be out in the snow, would she? With all the snow you're having you might not find her for a week! I'd love to have the lens you're selling but I too usually need IS as I seldom use a tripod and I don't like to crank up the ISO too much. Great detail on the fur and eyes. I kinda wish her nose was in focus too though. :-) CJ

Thanks Rod :-) Poor Winnie is stuck here with me working in the office today instead of chasing squirrels. The security guard just came by and threw her ball for her in the football field length carpeted hall though- that was pretty fun.
So far I like the new lens and it seems to have similar sharpness to my non-IS same lens (which I still need to sell). I would have had to really crank the iso to get this shot without IS.

The lighting makes it feel like morning, well done Brent. How do you like the new lens?
