I like the processing here Doug, nicely setting off the background. jano

Thanks for the detailed comment Tommy. I'm still not sure how the banding arrived. -Doug

Since Rod mentioned it I do see some banding in the lower part of the horse's body but why? It's almost as if the lines of the tree shadows are being projected into the mottled horse hair. Othewise, nice shot Doug. I see this as a bit unnaturally surreal, even cinematic with the contrasty bg that sets off the horse as if the bg were a projection on a wall. The animal does seem "inquisitive" but ultimately indifferent about what it sees. -tv

Thanks Rod and Carol. I didn't crop the picture at all and converted the b/w from the RAW file. I'm not sure what happened cause the original is fine. Maybe in the compression to make the file size limit? I'll either move it to pending or convert it again and see what happens. -Doug

I love horses, always wanted one and this looks like a nice one. I like the composition. CJ

I'm only on a rubbish LCD screen until I get me new monitor but I can see banding running across the horse. Was this from the processing or a small crop from a picy?
