Perfect for the topic. ~dtallakson

Thanks Troy and ladies: Carole and Penny for your support and Lydia for.. well.. you're from GA and this is the struggling commuter's life every day. The people pictured here are the aristocrats who can afford to take the boat across the water to lower Manhattan. The vast majority however turn left for the Port Authority Trans Hudson tubes, that is, under the water like so many worms on their way to sustenance. -tv

Great real life picture!

Lots of great concrete and I agree, no crop needed! :-) CJ

Although this is not my favorite of your photos, Tom, I agree that the different textures/cracks/defects of the concrete add to this immensely. It makes the photo work. ~Lydia

see I told you - everybody wants to do what Rod does. Why would that be?

Thanks YB I'm trying to be like Rod and not crop. Actually I like the extra apron of concrete because it better suits the mood. I find my eye being pulled down into the foreground textures since us old coots have to watch our step for fear of falling. -tv

I'm not so sure about a crop as the topic is concrete a. The light & shadows are doing the magic thing in this B&W, good choice mate.

I'm "cracking up" about this pic. My only criticism - I think it would look more balanced if you cropped the bottom 25%.
Works well in B&W
