Nice one aam - I like seeing the guy with the big lens and monopod on the left as I've never used one of those either. :-) CJ

Cheers, Doug. I'm no expert in these matters but from my experience, and after using a monopod for a while, you will forget its existence, and be back using the cam as you normally would. Hope that makes sense :)

Well done again Aam. I haven't learned how to control my monopod yet. Seems that the thing forces me tilted every time. -COAmature

Thanks Penny and Brent. Brent, they say the 5DII is even better than this cam in terms of noise.

Very nice work Aam. Such high quality at iso1600, many are hoping the 5DII will perform this well and it will be a tough act to follow.

It was. Cheers, Lydia.

Oh... I'm thinking this was a lot of fun to shoot. ~Lydia

Thanks Sharon, Mary Anne, and Rod. Rod, I turned the IS off but was using a monopod. Mary Anne, you are right, kind of unusual to have all boys there, families are usually in this location. The big stands, however, are on the right. I'll show it if there is a pic worth posting.

Thanks again ladies and gent.

Interesting that only males are the spectators. I guess that all the girls are participating in the sport. Good shot, Aam.

This image is a lot oversized: it is 7,085,967 bytes or 6.8MB instead of the 153,600 bytes or 150KB or less it should be. Please fix it when you can. Thanks! ~Sharon

Good capture, aam! ~Sharon

Good picy Aamm, the light on the rider is very nice. Does your lens have IS or did you use a tripod?
aam1234 07-Nov-2008 22:47
And no noise reduction what's so ever, too :)
Guest 07-Nov-2008 22:43
See what you mean aam about DoF and lack of noise at high ISO.
But I can slip mine into my pocket, look at that chaps opposite, his is so big he needs a lorry to move around. On the other hand look at the quality of your image - Christmas is coming a letter to Father Christmas might be worth a try.
