To keep the next challenge seasonal we should come up with a "gained 10 lbs" theme. -Doug

No offense here. On-topic, seasonal & nicely framed.

Thanks Lydia. -Doug

Weird. *grin*

Nice lighting, for sure! ~Lydia

Thanks for the continued comments. My son Ryan is hiding behind the mask. -Doug

Very good lighting. Awful mask lol. (Btw.. the liquify tool hasn't been used here - those masks look like that. Google "scream mask".)

Spooky Doug, and just in time for Halloween! Is this a new self-portrait? :-D CJ
aam1234 26-Oct-2008 16:49
Beautiful light.
Rod 26-Oct-2008 06:44
That's it Doug, gawd I'm a silly bugger I meant the Liquify tool. Geez you're game using that tool on people.
ctfchallenge26-Oct-2008 02:43
Thanks Brent and thanks again Rod. Figuring out studio lighting is much more complicated then I thought it would be. Generally the only time a use the smudge tool is when creating a "glamour" shot when I use it lightly in the hair. To make some interesting distortions or to give tummy tucks and chin lifts try the liquify tool. -Doug

Another great job with light Doug- well done!
~Brent
Rod 25-Oct-2008 23:02
Geez the face looks like the smudge tool thingy a. In that case then this picy is a great shot mate & a terrific picy for the topic. You're setting up some really nice moods with the lighting you're doing.
COAmature 25-Oct-2008 20:23
Thanks Kurt. -Doug

Nice "low key" shot CoAm! Not offensive to me but certainly an interesting pose. - angioman

Wow Debi. Here we pretty much only celebrate by dressing up and sharing way to much candy. And by the way Rod, no smudge tool just the shape of the mask. -Doug
ctfchallenge25-Oct-2008 18:16
Ah ok. Actually there are so many festivals here in India. Plus I studied in a Convent school with bible classes and hymns. Then there is regular exposure to English films and books. So everything seems quite acceptable to me - Debi
COAmature 25-Oct-2008 15:15
Thanks for the comments and thanks to Rod for the laugh. There are a sensitive few here that are anti-Halloween and can be offended by Halloween materials. -Doug
Rod 25-Oct-2008 14:23
My one track mind saw that the ghost is holding his penis wiv a lizard biting at the sensitive end creating the rather pained look on the ghosts face........Mind you I'm talking figuratively of course:-)
Daniel Bollag25-Oct-2008 12:14
I am *very* preoccupied: Have I lost my one-track mind? I hope not! But I cannot see, anyway, anything possibly offensive in this image. -- db.
ctfchallenge25-Oct-2008 07:14
Very good lighting here - err why is it supposed to be offensive? - Debi
Rod 25-Oct-2008 03:52
If wot he's holding is a phallic symbol then I'm fine wiv that but wot does offend me is you using the smudge tool on the ghosts bonce:-)
ctfchallenge25-Oct-2008 03:03
Thanks, glad you like it. Both this one and my cowboy are experimentations with my strobes shot through umbrellas. -Doug
ctfchallenge25-Oct-2008 02:48
Well done Doug. No worries mate (just imitating Rod). -tv

offensive.....? It made me giggle. And it works for the topic.
